It’s approaching 1800Z and you need to report a synoptic observation from the Kearsarge. You have turned back southward and are currently underway in the Davis Strait to the west of Greenland. You have completed all your observations and are ready to file your 1800Z synoptic report.

Sky Condition, Visibility, Present Weather: ⅞ sky cover stratocumulus with ceilings about 600 feet; 1/8 sky cover altostratus 11,000 ft; overcast conditions with occasional light rain showers at the ship.

Previous obs: occasional rain showers observed within last 6 hours, sky cover broken to overcast, visibilities restricted due to low clouds (2/8 nm).
