Tornadic Activity
A tornado, funnel cloud, or waterspout is considered to be occurring "at the ship" when the phenomenon is visible from the observation site.
Your present weather report should include:
- the type of phenomenon
- the time of beginning, ending, or disappearance, to the nearest minute
- the location with respect to the ship or with reference to a well-known point (distance expressed in nautical miles)
- direction TOWARD which the phenomenon moved or is moving
